Why Aerate?

Regular aeration enhances soil health by improving fertilizer, lime, & nutrient absorption. It also helps control pH level, reduces water run off & puddling, relieves soil compaction, enhances air/water absorption & root explanation, and greatly improves overseeding results.

To help your soil conditioning, we offer two classes of Aerators. An Aerator-Plugger & Spike-Aerator. Either one can range from 3’-20+.

Our Commercial Grade Spike-Aerators are built with 1 3/4" solid steel axle and quality grease-able bearings. The frames are made from 2 ½” angle iron that is 3/8” thick. Extra cross-bracing and laser-cut bearing plates ensure smooth operation and durably. 

Here's why you should aerate with Custom Cultipackers;✔ Our frames are strong, the quality bearings are greasable, the 19” spike-drum has a plug to permit adding/removing water for added weight – increasing the dry weight from appx 85lbs per foot to appx 120lbs per ft when filled.
✔ Designed to punch 5” x 2” holes to maximize effectiveness. The 5” long solid spikes are 3/8” thick and mounted to a thick-wall 10 ¾ inch drum & a 1 ¾” axle to provide max weight & durability.  Available with flip-over wheels or hydraulic travel.
✔ Our ATV units are heavy enough to actually "aerate your soil", but the quality bearings, heavy solid axle, and square frame make it easy to pull. If you buy a unit too lite to actually penetrate the soil, you haven't met the need for which you purchased an aerator.
✔ Our flip-over models are strong & durable. We don’t use bolts for axles and tubing for bearings. We use actual trailer spindles, hubs, wheels & tires.  If you opt for the flip-over option, we can't add the stand. You'd just flip-over to tire side for storage.
